Another Update!

Hey!
I  haven't been here in a few days, but I'm back :D
On Monday, I decided to do #7 from my list, Write in a Journal. I am not usually the person to ever write a journal, but I decided to make one. Hopefully, I will get more than a few pages in within the next year!
On Tuesday, I decided to do #23, Make Jell-O! I used to make Jell-O all the time at my Grandma's house! We would make it together, and it was always fun to eat when it was finished setting! We always couldn't wait the four hours though, and would end up eating it why it was setting! It was a great sweet treat to make, and it only took 5 minutes! I recommend you make it if you have it in the pantry!
Today, I decided on doing #3 from my list, Run Through the House Naked Singing Loudly. This sounds like possibly the weirdest/stupidest idea I could have put on my "50 Things To Do When Bored" list, and it is. I chose it today because it is the middle of the week, and I have been pretty busy, so it seemed easy, and not long. But, I never really ended up doing it since it didn't seem right. A bit goofy right? I recommend instead blasting some music in your room and dancing! That is so much better!
bye, and ttyl.

Day 21 (3 weeks through!)

Hola!
Yesterday, I hit the 3 week mark! Yay! :) Another month to go... :D
For yesterdays task, I decided doing #9 from my "50 Things To Do When Bored" list, which is call a friend. I try to call my friends as often as I can to catch up on whats been going on. Since the summer after 6th grade, my best friend Joni and I have talked on the phone at least a few times a week. Each evening since then, we try to set time aside to talk on the phone for at least 20 minutes. We have had our share of long conversations! Sometimes, they have been as long as maybe 100 minutes? That's rare, but always a nice conversation!
Since summer just ended and it's been a bit busy around here, we haven't been able to talk on the phone as frequently. Yesterday however, I called Joni, and we had a nice conversation which ended the summer well.
This gets me thinking, and me being my curious self, I have to ask, when was the last time you sat down and talked to a friend on the phone? This doesn't exactly include 1 minute conversations on the cell phone though...I mean, talking for at least 10 minutes catching up on life? If your vision is blurry, and you can't remember, I say, set aside some time soon and call a friend of yours! It will remind you of the wonderful people in your life, and the memories, and that sure is always great!
take care, and I hope you get talking!
tomorrow btw, I will discuss today's task. I'm a bit slow....

Say Hello!

Heyo!
School starts so soon for me, which is crazy! :P
I am not quite that happy about it....but, I need to go and learn!
Yesterday, I had a great day! I hung out with my BFF's, and we had fun at the mall, saw the movie Eat Pray Love, and went back to my friend Isabelle's house, and had a neighborhood party which was very exciting!
Yesterday, I decided on doing #45 from my list, Talk to a Stranger. However, instead of talking to just one stranger, I talked to more than a few! :) Since it was a neighborhood party, I got to meet a lot of new people  who were all very nice and friendly. I met a couple girls my age who went to a high school nearby, and met some older couples, while eating good food throughout! It was a wonderful evening, and I enjoyed meeting new people.
I say, if you are faced with a new experience, take it! You will be able to meet new, and hopefully inviting people that could be future friends down the road. :) The easiest way to meet new people is by saying Hello, and asking them a little bit about themselves. Tomorrow, is my first day of my 3rd year in high school, and I am excited. Hopefully, there will be a few new people that I can meet, and become friends with, and I will make sure to say Hello. :D We will just have to wait and see!
Tomorrow, I will give you tell you about what I did from my list today, since I am going to bed now, and if I stay up later, I will be very sleepy tomorrow. Not the perfect way to start off my day! Hope your new school year starts wonderfully!
take care!

Update :)

Sorry once again about yesterday's late post.
Today, I decided to combine yesterday's and today's blog entry if that is okay!
I'm a bit behind the 8 ball at the moment, (school stars Monday :( )
and I have tried to do as much as I can to prepare for the first day! I recently got my permit which was very exciting, and have started a bit of behind-the-wheel driving. It has been exciting, nerve-racking, crazy, ohhh the list continues!
Anyway, yesterday, the 18th day of this "adventure" I might call it, I spent Reorganizing part of my Closet, #8 from my list. I neatly organized my clothes by color, and the type of clothing article. It looks quite spiffy I might add, and will be a great way to start off my school year since I won't have to worry about where certain items of mine are! :) I still have a bit of closet cleaning to do though. The floor needs a bit of a look-see.:p
Today, was a nice day! I attempted to do # 47 from my list, go a day without tv, computer, ipod, cellphone, etc. however, it did not work in the end. I am using my phone, ipod, computer, daily, and it is hard to breakaway, especially this time of the year! I am in contact with my friends, a lot! I will make sure though that I will set aside a day, or even try a week!, to go without those mainly used electronics.
Today, I decided to tackle # 10 from my list, Go through old CD's and listen to them. I went through and listened to some old Kelly Clarkson, Karaoke CD's (featuring Britney Spears, Pink, etc. haha), and Hilary Duff. I even decided to sing a little karaoke too! It was fun I must say! I wish I looked through more CD's, although time ran short. My Mom and Dad have a lot of 60's and 70's music which always gets interesting listening to. Hehe. I will make sure to look more in the future!
This weekend and next week will be crazy, but I will come back and work on this crazy fun blog!
Check in soon. Take care.

Show The LOVE

Sorry about the late blog post from yesterday. Yesterday, Day 17, I decided to do #36 from my list, Do something special for a parent or guardian. My Mom had friends over yesterday, and I had my friend Isabelle over too. For my Mom and her friends, Isabelle and I made them dessert. We made Berry Cobbler, which was a yummy, quick, and easy way to have them bond over a treat and tell them how much they mean to me. :)
If you ever have the idea of doing something nice for a parent or guardian, make them something. There are a million things you can do for them to share your love, but I think that making them something is the most meaningful. Since I am almost always in the kitchen, making a treat or dish for someone is one of my ways of showing love, but you can also write them a card, help them around the house voluntarily, or even just tell them how much they mean to you.
I love my parents very much, and I try constantly to tell them how much they mean to me. You should too.
Take care.
For my recipe of Berry Cobbler, you can get it here from my Youtube Channel:

thanks!

Just Keep Singing...

Today I decided doing #30 from my list, Sing Karaoke.
I used to sing quite a bit when I was younger. Like many other young girls, I had the dream that I would one day become a famous singer. Although that isn't want I want to do now or anytime soon, I still sing. Usually on a long car ride, I will bust out my Ipod and sing some of my favorite music, which my parents and brother aren't too thrilled at the idea of hearing me constantly for a couple hours. :)
It was nice getting out my old karaoke machine today, and putting in some old Kelly Clarkson music, and singing. I sang to her song "A Moment Like This" which is a favorite of mine. When I was in the 5th grade, I decided to sing that very song at my 5th grade talent show. It was nice singing it once again.
Feeling a bit overwhelmed? Bring out those vocals from within! It is a anxiety reducer, (for me anyway) and a good way to sing some good tunes. Remember, if you are feeling stressed, just keep singing, and it will help it go away...
Take care.

Pre-School Clean-up? I say, YES!

Day 15 of my "50 Things To Do When Bored" list has been completed! Yippee!
I decided to do #49 from my list today which was Collect clothes, toys, etc. and send them to a Goodwill. It was an easy task that will hopefully brighten someone's day. My Mom and I gave away to our Goodwill some articles of old clothing, a couple board-games, books, and other odds and ends. My mom decided that since our garage was such a mess, it needed to be spruced up, and that gave us the perfect opportunity to get rid of some of our things and give them to someone who needed them. I was glad that I participated because it was one extra way that I could easily do something for someone without spending a lot of time.
Have you ever considered doing something like this? If you have, I strongly suggest you do.
If you have done something like this before however, when was the last time did it? If you are having a difficult time remembering, I say, pick out a day within the next few weeks and get rid of some older gear, and give it to someone in need. It won't take you too long, and will help you clean up your space!
Please, if you have the time, do it. Although school is right around the corner, and it is a busy time of the year, doing this will help you feel like you contributed something important for others. Believe me, it won't only help you, but it will help someone else too. Take care, and get cleaning! :)

Day 14-Vampire Sucks Movie Review

Heyo everyone!
Today, I decided to do task #27 from my "50 Things To Do When Bored" list, which is go to a Movie Theater. It was quite a good day might I add as well! I spent it with my two best friends, Isabelle and Joni, and we went to see the movie, Vampires Suck, and went window shopping afterwards! :)
Have you heard of the movie, Vampires Suck? If you haven't, I would watch their trailers on Youtube. They are quite hilarious! :D
I have decided to give you a little inside about the movie that I saw today. A little "review" I might call it.
Overall, it was a good movie. It was funny, got the audience laughing, and was very capable of making fun of the Twilight Saga Movies and even some other popular and annoying frenzies of this time. The actors played their characters well too, which was different from the Twilight movies. However, I felt that the movie was a bit fake and unprofessional. The stunts looked too fake, and the movie seemed unorganized since the plot didn't flow very well. That being said, it was nice to have the plot changed up a bit from the Twilight Movies. They changed the scrip, and that felt good to watch something different, not exactly expecting Twilight's outcome.
I would not go and watch this movie again. Too me, it is a one-time-watch movie. However, if you are in the mood for a funny movie, have friends along, $10, and aren't a huge fan of Twilight (or are, like me), I say, go watch the movie. Although, it isn't as good as Avatar, it will improve a boring afternoon!
take care, and keep watching/reading for more adventures! thanks.

I Say, Keep on Painting, or Keep on Goin'! :)

Hola!
I hope life is good for you all. I'm doing well!
Today, I decided to complete #15 from my list, Paint my nails. It was a nice, easy, fast task that I enjoyed doing for a little while with a good friend of mine, Erin. It kept us busy while we watched the movie, 500 Days of Summer (which btw, is a cute movie to watch!). I painted my nails a dark red--I'm going for a vampire look! Haha, just kidding.
By the way, this makes me think...Is it just me, or is there a vampire frenzy going on at this time in our lives? Do you see vampire this and that, a lot? Because, I do. Haha.
Enjoying the end of summer. I hope you are too.
I got miles to go on this blog, but it's all good with me, and I'm enjoying it!
Take care.

Day 12 is Goodnight and Done!

Good morning! A little late from yesterdays post, but here I am now to talk about Day 12! :)
I am a bit sleepy at the moment...wait! Why am I awake right now?? It is 12:30 P.M...
Well, let me tell you! I did #20 from my list yesterday,  wake up at 4 A.M. It isn't that I exactly wanted to wake up at such an early time, but I had to, and it was convenient for my blog.
Coming home from vacation can be tiring and well, time consuming, and I was coming home from vacation! But, no more waking up at 4 A.M. for a while! :)
I must say though, waking up early makes me appreciate sleep more! Sometimes I still wish I had nap time like I did in preschool. :) Hehe.
Night!

Read on...!

Hey!
I hope everyone is enjoying their week! I have so far!
Today I had a great opportunity to do a favorite task on my list...#14 which involved me Reading a book from my childhood.
This might sound kind of boring. Yes? No? However, I don't think so!
Every now and then I have these flashbacks of books that I read when I was younger, and I love reminding myself of the amazing assortments of books and stories I was read by my parents, and such that, gave me the idea to add that onto my list. My Dad is the same way! Just today actually, he was talking to me about one of his favorite writers that he read to me frequently as a child, and that was Richard Scarry. It was nice to be reminded of being a kid again. :)
Back to today though!...
I was lucky enough to visit the famous Powell's Book Store in OR. I learned today that is (probably) the largest used and new book store in the US! Wow! And large it is! But amazing too! If you ever get the chance to check out Portland, go there!
Anyway, I decided to look through some of their children's books. It brought back memories, and a few tears. (yes tears, haha)
One of my favorite childhood stories is The Giving Tree by Shel Silverstein. I remember one of the first times I read the book...it was with my grandma and all I remember is crying at the end because I loved how sweet it was. (at 4 years old?! hahaha, however, it still does) I decided to pick it up once again today and read it. And, of course, I cried in the end. I love The Giving Tree because it is a kind story that shows the stages of life and what happens in life as we get older. It reminds me that life is short, but full of love and care.
I am glad I picked up that book today. It feels good to remember a part of my childhood. I suggest the next time you are at a book store or library, you do the same. :)
Happy reading!

Day 10 is Done!

Day 10 is complete! Which means that I have officially done 1/5 of my blog adventure! Yay!
Anyway, today I decided to do #44 from my "50 Things To Do When Bored" list. (which btw, if you weren't sure, is the reason for this blog...read my posts from earlier for more info!) The task I did today was to tell Someone "I love you." I have to say, that was not a hard task for me at all.
I try to tell my family and friends how much they mean to me, and how important they are to me as much as possible. I don't know what I would do without the people in my life. They fill my life with love, hope, happiness, courage, oh the list continues forever!
However, these feelings got me thinking...and I must ask you a question...
When was the last time you told someone important or special in your life how much they meant to you? If you can't remember, let's just say that maybe you should tell them how much they mean to you. How about  starting with "Thank you for fulling my life with...I want to thank you for everything you have done for me, how you have been there for me, etc." But! Don't forget to say how much you love them. I have seen too many people take advantage of this and they end up loosing the important people in their life. Family and friends are a part of me, and I want that for you.
However, this is just something to think about...Live your life how it makes you happy, and however that might be, is good.
Just remember though, saying "I love you" will make a difference. It will not only make the receiver feel loved and accepted themselves, but you as well.
Take care and good luck.
I have a whole lot more love to share to come! Read on...............................!

Waves of Fun!

Konichiwa! Ogenkidesuka?
If you weren't sure, I just said hello, and asked you how you were. :)
I had one of the best days today! I decided to do #42 from my list which is Spend a few hours outdoors, and like I said on my list, it really does wonders!
Today, my family and I decided to go on a Kayak tour. We had a great time being out on the open water, and kayaking along the shore looking at the sea life and boats. It was a much different view on water than on land, and we had a blast being on the water and exploring. Maybe I will post a photo or two in the future... :)
I say, if you are ever by the ocean, go on a kayak tour with someone special to you. You will have fun looking at the scenery, and will get your arms working and wet!
I will definitely go kayaking with my family once again in the future!
I am almost at Day 10--I have completed the first 9 days of the Blogging Adventures, and I have waves to go from here... :)
Thanks!~

Let's Get Cookin'!

Hola!
I have finished my eighth day of my "50 Things To Do When Bored" and so far I have enjoyed it. :) Although maintaining a blog might be harder than I thought, I enjoy it nonetheless!
For my 8th day, I decided to choose #46 from my list, Make Dinner for someone, and not only did I participate in this, but my brother decided to join too!
I make dinner for my family a lot, and especially when I have extra time. It depends on the evening, but I might make Enchiladas, Halibut, Chicken, etc.
I thought today was extra special for this task though. My brother joined in which was great, and I decided to barbeque. I made herb-crusted, barbeque chicken with a large salad with carrots, tomatoes, avocados, and a homemade olive-oil dressing. My brother decided to make yummy nachos with cheese, guacamole, and beans! It was such a yummy meal, and my parents were glad that we each got a hand in the dinner. :)
I love cooking, and I say, if you are ever thinking of making a meal for your family, do it! It might inspire you to get into the kitchen more, and it will sure make your family happy!
I have a lot more cooking and excitement to come with this blog! :)

Singing in the Shower Loudly? I say, YES!

Hey, and sorry about the late post that was due yesterday, Day 7. I have been busy lately, and it slipped my mind that I had to make another post. I didn't forget to do a task from my list, so no worries! For yesterday, I decided to do an easier task for the day, and I did #41 from my list, Sing in the Shower Loudly. I enjoying singing a lot. Am I good at singing though? Haha, maybe not. But, I enjoy it nonetheless. I sing in the shower almost always, but decided that I had to take advantage of it, and sing at the top of my lungs!
Singing loudly in the shower is a good way to get out some extra feelings and vent if you aren't having the best day. I say, if you ever need to shower and aren't feeling the best, sing loudly, it will make you feel better than you thought.
I will keep you posted on my upcoming adventures! Thanks.

6 is for Next-door Neighbors!

It is Day 6 of my blog! Exciting? I say, YES! :)
Today, I decided on doing task #2 from my list, Visit a Neighbor. I spend time with my neighbors as often as I can, (I frequently bring over desserts or other things, and talk about virtually everything!) and enjoy meeting new neighbors anytime! Today, I met some new neighbors, and had a blast visiting at their house. Since they live right on the water, it was the perfect setting for conversations and dinner. We had our dinner on a picnic table looking out on the water, (hamburgers and potato salad--one of my favs!) and had a wonderful time getting to know each other. :)
Unfortunately, for many people, talking to neighbors is not an easy task! Sometimes, moving into a new area, or even talking to neighbors can be difficult and nerve-racking. However, it doesn't have to be this way at all! I have wonderful relationships with my neighbors and are so glad to know them. I say, even if you might be feeling the welcoming vibe, invite a neighbor over for an hors d'oeuvres, or bring over some treats if they are new in the neighborhood. You will be able to meet someone new and maybe even create a long-lasting relationship for the future.
I'm having a blast with this blog, and hopefully this will continue for days to come (I know it will!)!

UNO on Day Cinco

I've been having a good summer break, but today was special since I played one of my favorite games from when I was younger. I did #48 on my "50 Things To Do When Bored" which is Play a childhood game. My brothers, Mom, Dad, and I used to play UNO all the time when we had a few spare minutes, so by surprise today, I got the game out and played it against my Dad and brother. I used to win all of the games, however I didn't put forth my best game today. :( My Dad won 4 games in a row, and my brother and I each won one. It was fun nevertheless though! :)
I know exactly what I will do tomorrow! I will do play some more games yet again!
If you are ever feeling a little bored, have 15 spare minutes, a few friends or family, and an old deck or cards or games lying around, I say, play a game! Not only will you spend some good time with important people in your life, but you will remember the older memories from playing the games and it won't help but make you smile at the thought of it. :)
45 more days to go, and I can't wait for more days of excitement!...

R&R on Day 4

Hey! I am glad to say I have gone through Day four successfully! Just so you know, I will go through all "50 Things To Do When Bored" though, so no worries! :)
Today, I was in need for a little R&R, so I decided that I would complete #34 from my list: Take a relaxing bath. It was a good time to sit back, listen to some good music, (Lights! I LOVE HER MUSIC!) and watch the sunset go down from outside.
I don't normally have the time to take a nice, warm bath, but I say, if you ever have a few extra 15 minutes,  sit back and think about whatever might be on your mind, and take one! It will make your day so much nicer.
I have had some wonderful moments so far, and will come in the future, and I can't wait to share and tell! 46 more days to go... :)

Walked Through Day 3 :)

Day 3 is done! :) I have finished my 3rd task out of my "50 Things To Do When Bored" list, and I am very excited to be participating in an activity like this and sharing it with you. Today, I decided on doing #6 from my list which is Take your dog (or brother/sister) for a Walk, and I had a good time! My Dad joined me which was really great, and I had my little Cavalier dog Tory with us! We walked on the sidewalk walking along the water in the evening, and it was great to see the sparkling water and sun going down.
Every chance I get, I really enjoy going outside and taking a walk wherever I can. Walking is good exercise and great--especially when someone important is with you.
Whenever the times get tough or stressful, I say, take a walk around the neighborhood (the evening is the best!). Life might have it's tough times, but it important to do the best we can as people to live our life healthy, full of love, and strength. For me, walking reminds me of the beautiful place I live in, and the great life that I have.
I would like to quote a very influential and important man from our past. His words to others were very meaningful and he brought hope to many people throughout Africa. Thank you Nelson Mandela...
"After climbing a great hill, one only finds that there are many more hills to climb. I have taken a moment here to rest, to steal a view of the glorious vista that surrounds me, to look back on the distance I have come. But I can rest only for a moment, for with freedom comes responsibilities, and I dare not linger, for my long walk is not yet ended."
My walk too, has not ended. I have more days to come, and they might not be easy, and instead difficult and struggling. I know that whenever I feel the need to take a rest I can, and walking gives me that opportunity to remind of our beautiful world, and I am so thankful. Hopefully, you too, can find something that makes you happy.

Day 2 is Already Written Through!

I have finished Day 2, and for today, decided to do task #18 which is Write a Letter to Someone Special. I enjoy writing letters for my family and friends, and instead of writing one, I wrote two today (however, I will not disclose their identities!). While writing, I sat outside by the beach and watched the boats go by. What a lovely way to spend a beautiful afternoon!
However, doing this particular task got me thinking...Because of the new, booming technology that has come out recently, are we loosing the more loving, friendly, forms of communication that we used to have?  I wish everyone wrote letters still (like old times!) since it isn't as common anymore to write a letter and ship it, then it is to send out an email. Our world seems to be becoming less genuine and sincere!
I say, if you have a few extra minutes and a stamp, spend five minutes (while sitting outside!) writing a letter to someone dear and near to your heart. It won't only make your day a bit brighter, but also the receivers.
Day 2 might be done, but most of my blogging story is yet to be written.

Day 1 of My "Adventure!"

It has been the first day of my task filled "50 Things To Do When Bored" project, and so far I am sure glad  that I decided to do such a project as this. I can already tell that I made the right choice of deciding to not only create a blog, but make a project out of it!
I began my first day off well. I decided to begin this experience by picking #26 from my list: Go for a bike ride. However, this task didn't exactly get pulled off easily...
I have been lucky enough to be spending my last little while up in the Pacific Northwest. BTW, if you are ever thinking about coming up here to this area, do it in a heartbeat! It is beautiful and so relaxing. It feels like once you are here, you enter a completely different world and vibe--it is much more relaxed. The summers have the best weather, food, activities, and so much more! Come and join what it has to offer up here! Back to today though...I haven't been eating the healthiest lately (I have a sweet tooth!) and felt that exercise was the perfect remedy. Just before I was about to go for a bike ride, (around Noon) I noticed outside that it was raining! It wasn't an hour before! :( However, I was given the opportunity 3 hours later to take a ride around, and that is just what I did. I had my brother along for the ride, the wind's breeze pushing me along, the smell of the nearby sea, and of course the scenery to make the experience even more memorable.
I say, if you are ever feeling the blues from anything, go for a ride! It will be the perfect remedy for any pain.
So far, this has been a great experience...Day 1 might be done, but I still got 49 days down the road of excitement!!...

48. Play a childhood game
49. Give old clothes, toys, etc. to a Goodwill
50. Make your own list of "50 Things To Do When Bored!"

I had a blast making this list. It is exciting to think of things that I might not do everyday and decide that I will incorporate them in my life. Not all of these on the list are hard, but some of these tasks do involve a little push and movement from the culprit (me!).
I hope, from these next 50 days, I will be happier that I decided to do this "50 Things To Do When Bored" list. I can already tell that I will have fun and hopefully make someone else's day happy throughout the way, too.

I hope I can inspire you to go out there and try this one day! It might not be easy, but life isn't easy, and I would say that it is fun to create a challenge! Good luck to you all out there.

Anya Says Hello World!

Hello and Good Day to everyone reading what I have to say!

Yesterday, while sitting in my room, while it was raining in the Pacific Northwest, I had an epiphany. At the moment, I was bored, and to be honest, I realized that maybe the reasons I have been bored lately is that maybe I haven't been living my life with as much happiness that I could be. I am in no way saying my life is bad, but everyone needs change every once and while, and I am determined to change a few things in my life, first being my attitude and perspective towards life (I can be a bit negative at times, but who isn't?).  So, while I was bored, I decided to look up on Google one of those websites, "100 Things To Do When Bored." I came across a few good ideas to keep me full with tasks, happier, and hopefully healthier in time, one of which is to do a BLOG!

But, not only did I have the idea of doing just a regular blog of me ranting and going off about the world, but I had the idea to make a more "uplifting" blog you could say, or I could say. :) I have decided for part of my blog entries to become a project for me, and hopefully an inspiring read for you; to make a list like "100 Things To Do When Bored" except I will make a list of "50 Things to Do When Bored," and, each and every day, for the next 50 days, do a task, and tell you about my adventures of non-boredom!  How does that sound to you?
